First Octave ("we," "us," or "our") operates the First Octave Music Academy mobile application (the "App") hosted on the Google Play Store. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and handle your personal information when you use our App.

We only collect personal information that is strictly necessary to provide and improve our music academy services.

• Authentication & Verification Data: We use Google Sign-In via Firebase Authentication to authenticate users. When you sign in, we receive your Email Address, which we use exclusively for account verification, security, and essential communication.

• User Profile Data: During registration or profile setup, you may optionally provide your Name and Phone Number. We store this information to personalize your learning experience and contact you regarding academy updates if required.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely for the following operational purposes:

• To create, maintain, and verify your student account.

• To deliver educational content and manage your progress.

• To respond to your support inquiries, feedback, or complaints.

3. Third-Party Sharing and Disclosure

We respect your privacy. We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal data with any third-party apps, advertisers, or external organizations.

Your data is processed securely via Firebase (a Google service) for basic application infrastructure (such as hosting your user profile and managing authentication). Firebase handles this data strictly as a sub-processor bound by enterprise security and privacy standards.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard administrative and technical security measures through Firebase to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention and Account Deletion Policy

In strict compliance with Google Play Developer policies regarding user data control, we provide you with full authority over your data.

• Right to Delete: You have the right to request the complete deletion of your account and all associated personal data from our servers at any time.

• How to Request Deletion: To delete your data, please send an explicit email request from your registered email address to enquiry@firstoctave.in.

• Processing Time: Upon receiving your request, we will verify your identity and permanently delete your email, name, phone number, and account record within 7-14 business days.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App is intended to be used by students of our music academy. If a user is under the age of 13 (or the equivalent legal age in your jurisdiction), account registration should be completed with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
